Lauryn is Back!

Great news hip-hop skwid rockers... hot on the heels of her brand new song for the Surf's Up movie and soundtrack, Lauryn Hill is edging ever closer to the completion of her years over due follow up album to the multi Grammy Award winning smash hit, The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill.

The new song for Surf's Up is called "Lose Myself", and was inspired by the summer blockbuster's penguin character named Z. Though the song is not slated to appear on Hill's new album, and there is no street date as yet for the release, insiders at Sony Music are most eager and optimistic that the CD is very near completion.

Hill is also slated to make a number of live appearances over the course of the summer. In addition to performances in Dubai, Turkey, and the Netherlands, she is also scheduled to appear in Brooklyn, New York on August 6 as part of the Martin Luther King Jr. Concert Series.

Lauryn Hill is most definitely back!
